A new regulation about giant retailer had been issued by government and spreaded by media last week. One important consideration is about their locations which fulfill city’s major streets and compete directly against traditional retailers. A direct competition is claimed to be unfair.
However, in one Bandung radio air progamme, most of young mothers responded that they prefer to shop in "modern retailer" because of better location, cleaner, and luxurious interior.
